Christina Mueller founded the San Francisco-based AltiPlano Gold in 2002. Christina, recently diagnosed with food allergies, saw a gap in the natural-foods market. Though there were plenty of organic products, few were taking advantage of the high nutritional value of quinoa and other heirloom grains. With more people buying foods for their health benefits, the time was right to launch AltiPlano Gold. Christina teamed up with leading industry experts – from nutritionists to sales and marketing specialists – to create AltiPlano Gold’s line of quinoa cereals.

At AltiPlano Gold, we create top-quality heirloom grain
products for health-conscious, natural-foods consumers. We
also educate consumers about the benefits of quinoa and other
heirloom grains.
For our hot breakfast cereals, we use the finest quinoa,
spices, fruits, and nuts to create a delicious, nourishing
breakfast.

All of the quinoa used by AltiPlano Gold is certified organic
and non-GMO. AltiPlano Gold organic food is produced by farmers
who emphasize the use of renewable resources and the conservation
of soil and water to enhance environmental quality for future
generations. Organic food is produced without conventional
pesticides, fertilizers made with synthetic ingredients or
sewage sludge, bioengineering, or ionizing radiation. AltiPlano
Gold supports and affirms the goals of organic farming as
part of its core mission. As a company committed to sustainability,
we believe that the national requirements for organic food
reinforce a healthy environment and thus healthy communities,
ensuring a safer future for coming generations.
