All of AltiPlano Gold's cereals have been tested to the most rigorous gluten-free standards available, the ELISA Assay test. In this test, the Neogen Veratox® Gliadin test, our cereals were rated at Below The Level of Detection or less than 10 parts per million (ppm). The Neogen Veratox® Gliadin test is equally cross-reactive with gliadin/gluten for wheat, rye, and barley. One ppm is equal to 1 mg of gluten in 1 kg of sample product.
There is no contamination or cross-contamination in our cereals.
The ELISA Assay test is the test used by the government of Canada to determine if gluten-free marketing claims may be made for any food product.
